Community Eligibility Provision Program

The Amityville UFSD believes that one of the most important ways in which to ensure that our children perform well in their classroom is to provide them with the nutrition necessary for the healthy growth of their minds and bodies. Therefore, we are excited to inform you that for the 2023/2024 school year, the District has been approved to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. Under this program, on a daily basis, the District is able to provide a healthy breakfast and lunch to all students at no cost to the parents/guardians.

All parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to complete and submit a Household Income Eligibility Form. The form is necessary for two reasons: (1) it will determine if your middle/high school child(ren) qualifies for additional benefits (i.e. possible reduction in college application fees, PSAT/SAT/ACT fee waivers, etc.); and, (2) it helps the District maintain accurate records of the meals provided to our students, ensuring that we receive the right State Aid that is due.

If you have any questions about the Community Eligibility Provision or the District School Food Services Program, please feel free to contact our Child Nutrition Department at (631) 565-6572.
